Sumptuous jewel tones and stunning versatile neutrals make up our 2017 Colour Trends palette
In researching for our 2017 Colour Trends palette, the Benjamin Moore Colour and Design team went from fashion shows, to fine art museums, from the world of fabrics and furniture, to the world of architecture and design. The team was inspired by colours, textures and patterns from all around the world. The culmination of a year of this work is our 2017 Trends Palette.
This year, what particularly intrigued the Colour and Design team was the interplay of light and shadow. They explored the way light can make a colour change throughout the day and how this can be used explicitly in design.
The 2017 Trends Palette also reflects the on-going trend towards introducing more depth and nuance into the colours we use in our home. The palette deliberately incorporates versatile neutrals that can be paired with splashes of the more saturated tones in the palette to create a sense of harmony between different spaces in the home.

For a stunning depth of colour and a finish that will withstand wear and tear, useAura®.
Aura combines two pieces of patented technology to deliver this phenomenal dark colour performance in a true matte finish.
Firstly, Aura uses Colour Lock technology to encapsulate pigments within the paint, ensuring they are protected from fade and colour rub-off.
Secondly, our proprietary Gennex water-based colourant technology, which is at the heart of every Benjamin Moore product, ensures deep and saturated shades are not loaded with surfactants that cause the paint to be highly water sensitive and can cause poor hide.
